Hi Shelli,
I have Massie in Jackson Co., Ohio. I know Rachel Massie was born there
12/22/1818 and married Ozias P. Barton on 12/4/1836 in Jackson Co., OH. I have
a copy of the micro film record of their marriage and it is spelled Massie. Her
parents were Thomas Massie and Nancy McDaniel. I know Nancy was from Greenbrier
Co., VA (now Monroe Co., WVA.) Rachel and her mother Nancy both died in Herman,
Knox Co., IL where Rachel and Ozias moved to. I am unsure about her father and
some siblings, although some of them were born there and also went on to Knox
Co., IL.
