According to a marriage license application of 14 September 1837 in Knox
county Illinois John Eames was the legal guardian of Sarah York and had
to sign so she could marry William King. We are looking for proof of her
parents names her birth date and place of death of her parents. She claimed
on the 1850 census in Buchanan county Missouri that she was born in Kentucky
and on the 1860 census that she was born in Illinois. She may have had
a sister who was in some way connected to the Maul family. Any help will
greatly appreciated by my 90 year old aunt who is their last living ggrandaughter.
