I am glad it was somewhat of a help to you. Here are some great sites on Bishop Hill and the Sweedish colony, a couple of the sites have other links where you can trace your Sweedish ancestry. One of the sites even shows a small map, and you can see how close Altona is to Bishop Hill !!

You might want to look for your ancestors on the Henry County illinois message board also. Altona is just inside the boarder of Knox County, and Biship Hill is just inside the boarder of Henry County, and the two towns are not that far away from each other !!
