Thank you for your reply. When you listed the second set of children did you put them in order of birth or just known children of the 2nd marriage? The reason I am wondering is that Elizabeth was born in 1831 and if the marriage was in 1816 that would be a long span of time for having children although not unheard of.
There was something in your email that really got my attention though. One of the first children was named "Miller". I have been doing my genealogy for about 4 years now and have not come across that name before that I can recall. My Elizabeth and her husband James M. "Jesse" Adkinson (Adkisson) had a son named "Robert Ananias" who married "Clarinda Ellen Powell". Robert and Clarinda (Ella) had a son named "Miller Vern" who was my Great-Grandfather. Of course it could be pure coincidence but I found that to be interesting.
Can you tell me some of the associated lines with your Harpers? Do any of these ring a bell with you: Babbit, Lomax, Powell. Dykeman?
I also find it interesting that your Harper family came from OH and settled in the same place in IL.
