Carole, have you tried looking through the "Immigrant Ship Transcribers
Guild", which lists passenger manifests of ships arriving in the U.S. The
web site is: http://istg.rootsweb.com/ If your family is listed, anyone
who died enroute usually is listed in the group of passengers.

youngest Sven, who was about 5 years old. But this is the last we find of
him. He was born in Jamshog, Blekinge, Sweden in 1864. We don't know if he
died on ship, died young or what happened to him. They were also in Galva
in Henry County, as well as Knox County. None of the family had ever heard
of him, but I found him on the list leaving Sweden. Another Sven had been
born in 1861 but died in Sweden, and they named their next and last son
Sven.
