Hi,

I am tracking a family that emigrated to Wataga in 1857 from Sweden. I
am
going to Illinois the latter part of August and can spend a day or so
in the
County.

Specifically, They were Andrew Nelson, wife Ingrid, and daughter
Christina.
They belonged to the Wataga Lutheran Church. I am looking for death
date of
Andrew, and marriage information regarding the daughter. Plus any
additional
historical information. In Sweden they were Anders Nilsson, wife
Ingeborg
daughter Christina plus another child that was born on the voyage to
the US.

Can anyone please advise the easiest way to do my research. Is the
Lutheran
Church still viable in Wataga and is there a resident pastor? I have no
trouble finding my way through County records.

Any help would be appreciated.
