Hi!
I have been looking for Sanuel Mecham as well. When I looked in the
Illinois Marriages, there was 2 for Samuel Mecham. The first one Samuel
Mecham married Tabitha Collins on2-14-1856 and the second marriage was a
Samuel Mecham Married a Mary Jane Collins on 11-20-1856 both in Knox County.
Is this the same Samuel as yours and is there 2 Samuel Mechams? Also do you
know the Father of Elizabeth Collins. What County, town in Kansas did you
find them in the 1860 census? Thanks a lot, really appreciate the help.

several weeks for my Samuel Mecham. He was born Jan 1798 in New Hampshire.
His first wife Elizabeth died in 1855. He married Mary Elizabeth Collins on
20 Nov 1856 in Knox County. I just can't seem to find them on the 1860
census. Now I did find his son William B Mecham in Victoria, (Knox), IL. Any
help will be very much appreciated. I don't even know if he was still there
but can't find him anyplace.
