Hi-

I'm not related to this family, but I found some info at the Lake County Genealogy Society that may be *possibilities* for your search.

In the Lake County IL Marriage Index, Jan 1902 - Dec 1906, I found the following:

Bride: Harding, Sarah
Groom: Fry, Ernest
Document #: 089M0514
Date: (refers to either date of application or date of marriage): 3-1-1905

Then, in the Obit/Cemetery file, I found the following cemetery cards (you may have already seen this info on Find A Grave):

Ernest John Fry
1869 - 1946
h/ Sarah Fry
d. July 13, 1946
ae 74 years 11 mo 11 dys
Buried in Diamond Lake Cem
Sec. 5 Vernon Twp.

Sarah A Fry
1875 - 1972
w/ Ernest Fry
d. June 18, 1972 ae 98 yrs
Diamond Lake Cem.
Vernon Twp.

There was no obituary for either individual.

Also in the "Fry" section was the following card, which, based on the birthdate, could be the Dorothy you are looking for:

Dorothy Parker - "Mother", nee Fry
Jan 11, 1906 - Dec. 13, 1977
Ivanhoe Cem.
Fremont Twp

Ivanhoe cemetery is in Mundelein.

Of course, I then went to the "P" section to see if there was an obituary under her married name. The index card under the married name had the same information as the maiden name. There was no obituary for her in the file. HOWEVER ------ I found a *potential* obituary for her in a local newspaper from 1977. I will try and make it to the library tomorrow to check the microfilm (depends on the little ones... ha ha!).

There was no listing for Lucy in the "Fry" section of the file. I went to Ancestry to look up her name to see if I could get lucky to find a possibility in someone's tree so I could look under a different name in the cemetery file. I found a Lucy Fry from Mundelein, IL who married into the surname "Spracklen".

I did find the card and an obituary for a Lucy M. Spracklen. I can e-mail it to you if you would like.

It does not mention her parents or her maiden name. It lists her birthday as November 24, 1914. She passed away on August 20, 1993. I suspect that this may be the correct individual based on one of her survivors: a niece with the surname PARKER. (She also left a daughter).

I hope that this helps. I let you know if I get the obit. :-)
