Hi Jon
I have the book "Ottawa Old and New", in it is many entries for the family
your looking for.
W.W. Taylor served as Sheriff or Clerk in LaSalle county from 1890-1894. In
another listing, he is also listed as having been the proprietor at one time
of the Clifton Hotel.
Another article about the George W. Reed & Co., says that a contract was
closed with Mr. William Taylor.
Another listing shows the events of 1883 and says: August-The Ottawa Driving
Park Assoc. was organized with these officers: W. W. Taylor Secretary.
Then from the events of 1884: At a meeting of citizens these gentlemen were
named as members of committee for the Fourth of July celebration, W. W.
Taylor is among them.
There are at least 5 more listings, with lots of other Taylors also.
I don't sell the books, but it may be well worth the $50 price to you. It is
full of history and I've found I have gotten much more out of it than just
my immediate ancestors stories.
See the site for the LaSalle County Genealogy Guild.

P.S. I also have Taylors on my tree. Surnames: Shaver, Lowman, Grove,
Debolt - many more. thanks
