Uncle Jimmy Jones was a CW Vet - died 1919 in Streator - I'd be interested
in his rank/unit in Union Army. Believe now it to be the 4th WV Infantry.

Dear List:

I have come across some records from the Streator Public Library and do not
know of their origins. They seem to be Burials of possible Civil War Vets.
It says "Post 68, Streator, IL" all over them, and it also says, "State of
Illinois Military and Naval Department - Record of Burial Places of
Soldiers
and Sailors in State of Illinois." It contains the names of 89 veterans,
along with their Rank, Company, Regiment, and Date of Death.

What was Post 68?

Is anyone interested in the records? I will post them sometime this week
on
my site. I will just transcribe them for everyone.
