Hello list,

I am looking for a JOHN HEIST (born in Germany about 1820) that lived in Peru, LaSalle County, ILL.

He had two sons that I know of. JOHN HEIST born in 1862 and HENRY HEIST born about 1871.

I know they were very involved in their church there. I have a telegram from a Pastor P. Braun that confirms the Birth date, Baptism and Confirmation date of JOHN HEIST (born 1862). I do not know which church this comes from.

I am hoping someone might know of a Pastor P. Braun that served in the Peru, LaSalle County, ILL area in the 1920's.

Any information regarding the Heist family would be much appreciated.

Does anyone have access to the 1860 or 1870 census for the area?

I have access to the 1800 - 1850 and 1900 and 1920 census information available and would be glad to help anyone with lookups.
