Greetings from Streator,

Looking for information about W. C. Hill and/or Fred Thornton, they were
the previous owners of what is now John & Joe Florists.
Mr. Hill began the business on South Park street in 1884. About 1900
he moved to the present location. About 1904 Fred Thornton from
Galesburg joined the company. Miss Clara Sherman was an equal partner in
the business with Thornton.
There is a grave in Riverview, William Hill died 1905.
Would like to know when and where Fred Thornton died. Thornton was
still alive in 1945 when the Bodznick brothers bought the shop.
What happened to Clara Sherman?
Anyone on the list related to these people, or someone who worked for
them that could give me a lead?
