Hello list. My gtgrandfather John Bowen Strait/Straight married Orra Marie
Hall in Hallsport NY Allegany Co May 20 1860. they lived in LaSalle
Co1860-69 moved to Dekalb Co 60-71 moved to Humboldt Co Iowa 1871. Her
parents were Luther Hall amd Nancy Randall Hall . Orra was born in
Washington co NY. Did she have brothers and/or sisters who might have also
moved to Illinois? Bureau Co is just west of LaSalle Co?.

Sue, did your William Hall marry a Priscilla Raymond. they settled in
Potter, Yates co. NY 1808 had 6 children one named William.About 1823, 6 of
Williams 12 children settled in Hallsport, Willing township Allegany Co NY.
William is not one of the 6 names I have. He could have moved elsewhere. or
stayed in Yates Co. Halls originated in Marshfield, Plymouth Co Mass.
Probably came from England as a Hall married a Crooker whose family goes
back toFrancis and Mary Gaunt/Grant Crooker (Marshfield Mass) who had a son
