Listers:

Can someone check me on the Union/Streator connection? On the census I
checked, Union was in Livingston County. Streator, of course, is right at
the southern edge of LaSalle County, and South Streator is in Livingston
County. However, the town's name may have been Unionville rather than Union.

Maybe Union and Unionville had the same relationship as Streator and South
Streator. If so, Jan, there might be some credence to your family story. You
might could use a history of South Streator!

Tim

Thanks, that is my John Penny and Catharine (Westfall) Penny. I did not
know that Streator was previously called Union.
