household of Joseph Hawkins along with Joseph's family:

In 1860 John W. Hughes and Sarah Hughes are listed on the census for Lamar
Co., TX along with sons Perry Hughes 7 b. IL; Josiah Hughes 4 b. IL;
Fannie J. Hughes 3 months b. TX; Emiline Hawkins, age 11 b. IL. According to
this census, the John W. Hughes family is living next door to the following:
*Jemima Hughes 50 b. KY
*Robert Hughes 21 Farmer b. IL

In the next house the following family is enumerated:
*Vincent Martin 48 M MO
*Lucinda (Hughs) Martin 37 F IL
*Sarah E. Martin 17 F IL
*Wm. F. Martin 14 M IL
*Julia A. Martin 12 F TX
*Zachariah Martin 10 M TX
* John M.Martin 8 M TX
* Mary J. Martin 6 F TX
*Geo. W. B. Martin 4 M TX
*Rhoda Martin 2 F TX

We know that Lucinda Hughs Martin is the daughter of Zachariah/Zachary Hughs
and Sarah Bain Hughes of Jersey County. Does anyone know how Jemima (maiden
name unknown) Hughes and John W. Hughes connect to this family? Does Jemima,
who produced at least four children in IL, come from Jersey County or
Macoupin County? What is her maiden name?

Names of members of the three families are found on various probate
documents in Lamar Co., TX as executors for each other's estates, but no
relationship is listed. Sarah Caroline Hawkins married John W. Hughs in
Jersey County. We know that all the Illinois-born children of John W. Hughs
were born in Macoupin County and that most of this family is buried there in
Kinder Cemetery. After the death of John W. Hughs in 1861, Sarah and her
children returned to Macoupin County.

I would appreciate any information about Jemima, John W., Lucinda, and
Zachariah Hughs/Hughes and their families. Information about other Macoupin
and Jersey County HUGHESes might also be very helpful. Fannie/Fanny Hughs is
not buried in Kinder Cemetery with her mother and her siblings? What
happened to her? I will appreciate any help you can give.
