Here are my thoughts on all this. Short and sweet. If you do not want
things published, don't put them on the web for people to take in the
first place. Granted it would have been common courtesy to ask you if he
could, however if you have it there for the taking then you have
yourself to blame as well.
Personally I publish all information I have to the internet. I think it
only benefits us one and all to do so. Whether a site charges or not I
do not care, if they have the information I am looking for it is money
well spent. I wish when I was starting out a lot of the people I got
information from had published there stuff online, it would have saved
me tons of mileage on my car going to Carlinville, Hillsboro,
Jerseyville, and a ton of other places. This information we all have
should be out there for the world to see and to share in.
There are web scripts that you can put on your page so that people
cannot right click on the page to copy and paste or so click to save
photos, if you have not implemented them then that is no ones fault but
your own. In a perfect world people would be honest, people would be
respectful of another's wishes, we do not live in anything near a
perfect world, need proof? Just turn on your local news station.
