Was Thelma Dean Stewart related to Jacob Stewart? I am interested in his son, Robert Stewart, who is buried in the Round Grove Cemetery in Lawrence Co., Missouri.

I 'd like to know if there was an obituary for Mrs. Stewart?
f so, might I request a copy from SKSoul?
She was a descendant of John C. Miller, and the Henry Miller (Prairie
ioneer) family.
am wondering if there are descendants still living in the area who might
ave possession of some of the
iller family history. John was a Civil war veteran of Vicksburg--his
rother Andrew as well. John signed
s co-submitter for 2 patents that Andrew received. They were an
ccomplished family and I only know
hem through my genealogy--except for Margery Miller Rogers who with her
usband operated the Ace
ard ware store in Carlinville until she passed away about 10 years ago. We
ere corresponding with each other at the time.
Thelma Dean Stewart's name is mentioned a lot in the material I have
athered about the Miller family.
s you can see by the surname, my husband's 2nd or 3rd g-grandfather was
enry Miller. I gifted
nformation about the family to the MCGS a few years ago--extending a
engthy genealogical work
done by another genealogist previously) to add the Henry
iller and more recent descendant family from
f Carlinville, IL. It is titled "HENRY'S STORY: More About The Children
nd Some of the
escendants of David and Elizabeth Wise Miller".

In memory of Thelma Dean Stewart. Thelma was a dedicated genealogist
associated with the Macoupin County Historical Society and was one
who instigated the restoring of several old cemeteries in Macoupin
County. I was assisted by her when trying to get Asbury Cemetery
restored. She also tried to help me with the Stewart and Richards
lineage, although we were not connected. I am sure she should be
recognized for much more. I will have fond memories of her.
