GABEL, ELLIS, SCHEPPEL/SCHETTLER/SCHOEFFLER, HOFFMANN

Searching for the above names, Most settled in St. Clair County, IL.... but
also possible in Madison, and Macoupin. Gabel Family in Illinois and
mentioned counties 1850-present, Mary Scheppel is only one of her kind I
have information on, but was in Illinois(St. Clair County) as early as
1870's and came from Saxony-Coburg-Gotha(Kingdom of Germany). No info on
Ellis line, except for a MARY and maybe her father John, and from England.
HOFFMANN line is mainly from St. Clair County.

The GABEL Line possible that they lived in Staunton, either county(Madison
or/and Macoupin). Eventually the GABEL name was well known in Swansea(St.
Clair County, IL), where they may have lived on Garden St.
