Thats right according to my dad and cousins - their families belonged to the
German Evangelical Synod -- I never heard the word Lutheran added. I can
remember when they got together after they all were in their 70's they loved to
argue and laugh. The usual arguement was that the German Evangelical was better
than the current Lutheran - what ever that means.
