Brinkerholl's History of Marion County, Illinois, page 454

John M. Adams is the subject of the sketch.

His father Martin Adams, born Oct. 10, 1820, in W.Va. and married Elvira
Richardson of Tn.

Martin's father, Nathan Adams and mother, migrated to Marion Co., Il. about
1835 and
settled in Racoon Township, where he obtained half a section of land on
which he made many improvements.

I would like to learn how this Nathan Adams fits in with the Adams that
came from
Logan Co., Ky. and Pittsylvania Co., Va.

Any help offered would be greatly appreciated by myself and other Adams'
researchers.
