Hi,
This is sad to hear. My cousin and I were in the Courthouse vault for hours
each day. I could not believe the records we found. Most were not indexed
properly. But we searched and searched and found just what we were looking
for.
We even asked if there were more records. Someone said, "yes up in the
attic." Well, off to the attic we went. Numerous records, covered with dusk
just laying around. After about 1/2 hour someone found out we were their and
we were kicked out. I called Harold Boyles and let him know about the waste
in the attic. I hope the Marion Co. Gen. did something. My cousin also wrote
a letter to the Courthouse about these records laying all over the attic.
Did what we could for other researchers.
