Hi, Sandy!
Boy, I HOPE you didn't have to go into the hospital and that everything is
o.k. now as it's been over a week since you sent this message. It's tough
being sick over a holiday so hopefully you were feeling o.k. for
Thanksgiving (and someone else was able to cook for you!)

Yes, I am still interested in any HOWELLS you might be able to dig up. I
can't seem to find anything on my particular group, so, maybe you'll have
found something in what you're looking at that will work!! Actually, and
this really isn't anything you can help with, it would be SO helpful to me
if I could find out my gggrandfathers name.....first name, anyway. I
already KNOW it's HOWELL!! Nobody in the family seems to know, but I found
a Minnie HOWELL on a Marion Co census with 2 boys the same names as my
ggrandfather and his brother. I don't want to just 'assume' I've found them,
tho, and it SAYS that she was divorced! but I don't know when. I MIGHT be
able to figure that out just by analyzing the years on the census
form...think there was a baby or small child in the list of occupants with
her...but can I get divorce records on a woman, or do I need both names??

Were you lucky enough to find out where the PORTERS were from (see bottom of
this email for that reference..)? Just wondering.

Thanks for all your efforts. Please do get well!!

Jenny
