through their oldest son Phillip BLURTON b abt1828/9 , Wilson, TN md

My HOWELL line might be a bit older than yours but its probably the same
tribe. My biggest concern now is finding something on the ancestry of Mary
JONES as i don't know anything about her roots... SMITH is murder to research
even under the very best of circumstances.
happy hunting

I have not read the messages for the Marion Co list in a while. I just
logged in to my Hotmail account to do so, and I had 2 messages from the list
between April 11, and April 22 (now). Is this the case for everyone
else????? What's happened to the Marion County researchers??? Are you all
out having FUN in the nice spring weather???? (GOOD! It's always good to
get AWAY from the computer for a while!)
Well, just thought I'd send an email to the list, to try and stir things up
again. I used to get SO MANY MESSAGES here! Maybe if I throw something
out....
I'm looking for anyone that might be researching the HOWELL name in Marion
County....particularly, the John J. or Jesse J. HOWELL families.....Would
like to meet some new cousins, and trade info! My grandfather, Martin E.
HOWELL was a son of John J. Jesse J. was John's brother....he was married
to an ALLSUP whose first name I have inconveniently forgotten! :+) Does
anyone have ANY info on HIS family? I heard once that Jesse went up to
Dixon, IL when he got older to live with a son. I believe he died up there.
Would really like to hear from anyone that might know about him.....
OK. This is my valiant attempt to wake everyone up. '+) Have a good week,
and enjoy working/playing in all the nice spring weather.....
Jenny (in Tampa where it's been near 90 already!)
