I am sure there are graves, even multiple graves, which were plowed
over, some knowingly and some unknowingly. I know of a couple where the
stones were moved to another [suitable] location before the plowing.
Logan County, which is the county I am most familiar with, has a
cemetery district which protects and cares for most of the cemeteries in
the county. The exceptions are a couple that are privately [and well]
endowed and a couple religious cemeteries. DeWitt County, which is next
door to Logan on the east, has some incredibly neglected cemeteries. It
varies widely.
