Had you checked the Illinois marriages yet?Don't know that both of these
listings is for your Alex, but it might be why your having trouble finding
information on Mary. Also if you check for the marriage certificate, you
might get lucky enough to have their parents listed. It's close to the time
when they started to list that information on a regular basis.

Can anyone access birth records to 1832 for Hardin County? I'm trying
to find my gggreat grandfather Henry Thurman, b.1832 and died in 1863 at
Memphis from Measles during the Civil War. He was in the 120th F Company
under Commander Rourke. He mustered in Saline County the previous year. His
parents were William and Philena (Welsh) Thurman of St. Fracois County, MO.
Maybe there's something here. Donna
