I have been busy with harvest so I have missed much of this
thread. I think that you were asking for verification for the
Rev War service of Samuel Young.

Most of what we know about Sam's early life is from his
Rev War pension application. He was granted a pension.
I have a copy. He said that He served three 3 month hitches. One
with the Northumberland co PA militia under a Capt Samuel
Young and twice with the Montgomery co VA militia under
Col Campbell. He was an "indian scout" at the battle of King's
Mountain.

I hope this is what you were looking for. If not sorry for butting
