Hello All,

I am trying to get my connection between these families straightened out.

My Routt's are out of Ross County OH and moved into Marion county IL between
1840-1850, respectively.

I have a Catherine Routt that married Thomas Wickersham, 1867 in Marion
County. Does anyone know if this is correct? Does anyone know if this Catherine
has a connection with the Ptomey and Pettycord families? In searching through
Ohio info, I did find a male Routt living with a Ptomey family in Ross County.

Also, the death certificate of my gg-grandfather, Richard Routt of Clay
county, lists his father as Thomas Routt (in lieu of Henry Routt). Does anyone
have information on him? Born ca 1802 and died 1858 and buried in Harrison
Cemetery (Carrigan Twp.). His father may be Daniel Routt, born ca 1770, died 1849
and buried also in Harrison Cemetery there in Marion County.

There are groups of Routt's in Marion, Clay and Clark counties. Believe they
are all connected in some manner.

I will appreciate any type of information or reference you may have.
