I am looking for information on Robert Alexander Adams,born in Mercer
County,kentucky and moved to Carthage,Hancock County,Illinois then moved to
Mound Township in McDonough County,Illinois. He married Caroline Jane
Garrison in 1842 in Parke County,Indiana. They had six children---SOPHIA ANN
ADAMS married CALEB SWAYZE. CHARLES EDWARD ADAMS married CHARITY A. MEDARIS.
JOHN JAMES ADAMS marries ALICE ANNIE HASTIE. MARTHA SUSAN ADAMS married JAMES
WOODFORD ARMSTRONG. PRISCILLA JENNY ADAMS married PEYTON T. CARSON. And,
SAMUEL OSCAR ADAMS married ARABELLA B. WILSON. Robert was the son of WILLIAM
ADAMS and PRISCILLA ARMSTRONG of MERCER COUNTY,KENTUCKY. He had a sister
named MARTHA BARD ADAMS married LEWIS SMICK. This MARTHA ADAMS SMICK is
buried in MCDONOUGH COUNTY,ILLINOIS as well as her brother ROBERT ADAMS. I
have some information on the children of ROBERT ADAMS AND CAROLINE, but
havent been able to find someof the children and their spouse. Where did they
go. Does anyone have any old newspaper clippings after 1897. I believe taht
CAROLINE GARRISON went to KANSAS to be near some of the children, but what
happened to her is unknown. Thanks for any help-----CINDY
