"NEWSPAPER PRESERVATION RECIPE
by Michael Knapp

Keeping newspaper clippings from turning brown and brittle is always a
concern for collectors and researchers. Here's a recipe for preserving a
newspaper clipping:

*Dissolve a milk of magnesia tablet in a quart of club soda.
*Let stand overnight.
*Pour into a pan with the flattened clipping.
*Soak one hour, remove, pat dry and allow to air dry.
*Estimated life: 200 years."
