I've responded directly to Linda and have contacted MCGS's RSVP committee
to see if they've received her request.

The McDonough County Historical Society (Box 86?) does not provide
genealogical research services.

The McDonough County Genealogical Society (Box 202) does offer RSVP
services (see http://www.macomb.com/mcgs/). Currently, the society
officers open mail every 2 weeks. RSVP requests are placed in the RSVP
committee's basket. The amount of time until a response is sent is
dependent upon several things:

- the number of requests in line before yours
- the complexity of your request
- the number & availability of volunteers to make the response

Unfortunately, MCGS,like many societies, suffers from few members and even
fewer RSVP volunteers among those members. Feel free to contact the
society via the web site (http://www.macomb.com/mcgs/) to check the status
if it's been 6 or 8 weeks and you haven't heard anything.
