Subject: Dofflemeyer Family, McDonough County
Date: Fri, 25 Feb 2005 19:26:12 EST
Hello,
I am researching my Weaver/Long/Monger/Munger/Louderback/Lauderbach families
from Virginia to Illinois. I know my ggggrandmother, Barbara Long married
David Dofflemyer in Virginia. He died in the War of 1812 and she remarried to
Abraham Louderback of Rockingham, Virginia. They moved to Indiana then to
Schuyer County, Illinois. (Bluff City.) Barbara died in 1849 and is buried Bluff
City. I was wondering if the Dofflemyer family that is listed in the Cemetery
Index for McDonough County could be related to Barbara's first husband's
family?
Is anyone on the mailing list researching this family? I would like to know
if any of them came with the Louderback and others to McDonough, Fulton or
Schuyler Counties. The Monger/Munger, Long, and Dufflemyer families seems to be
associated with the formation of the Mennonite Church. Other families in
McDonough who may also be related is Burkholder/Berkholder and Weaver/Weber.
Thank you,
Marsha
