I just retraced my steps:

1. I started with: http://lists.rootsweb.com

2. There scroll past "Surnames" etc. until you find "USA"

3. Click on IL

That brought me to: http:/lists.rootsweb.com/index/usa/IL/

4. Scroll down to "Counties, Boroughs and Districts."

Now you are on: http:/lists.rootsweb.com/index/usa/IL/mclean.html

5. Scroll down almost the last line and click on "sites"

That brought me to http://www.rootsweb.com/~websites/uspages/html

6. Scroll to "State Specific Resources" and click on "Illinois"

7. Next frame go down to "U. S. GenWebCountyPages".

8. Select McLean and then select cemeteries

9. About there you will get 8 McLean County cemeteries with alphabetical lists of the burials there including birth and death years but not the details that are in the McLean County books.

10. Wish you luck. Hope I haven't missed a step. There is probably a short cut somewhere.

I can't find the McLean Co. cemeteries. I went to http://searches.rootsweb.com/ and only found two counties from IL (Monroe and Shelby) that had cemeteries listed and it was only searchable by surname/given name.

I read through the most recent RootsWeb Review and couldn't find any McLean Co. cemeteries there either.

Where did you go to find the "grid with about eight cemeteries in McLean County"?

I tried going through the "new databases" site whose URL was in the most recent issue of the RootsWeb Review. I soon found under Illinois various resouces and then found a grid to focus on a selected county (maybe after I checked on Cemeteries in a list) soon I had McLean County and a grid with about eight cemeteries in McLean County.

I started with:

That may help. Some links did not work but this group of cemeteries were there.
