Hi Connie. Thank you soo much for the pictures. They came out great. I do believe I came across something yesterday saying that there were some Johnstons buried in another cemetery in the area. Might be where they moved Mary Jane to be with Robert. We are trying to sort this all out. I will let you know when we get it lined out. I have gotten soo much information the last few days, that I have to get the time to sort through it and get everything and everyone in their correct order.
The cemetery there looks really nice and well kept. When I saw the picture you took of the cemetery and saw the tall monuments, for some reason it struck a cord in me. Now I would not know why because I have never been there, but it was as though I knew that cemetery and I wanted to go to it. How odd that is, and I have looked at that picture several times.
You have been a huge help and even though I never knew any of this side of my family, now I have information on them and at least know where their final resting places are. Before I began this a week ago, I knew nothing. Now I have all this information and some pictures as well of the area they came from. I do have one picture of Sophia and Lizzie on a front porch in rocking chairs. All it said on the back was Sohia and Lizzie..No year it was taken or last names. So looking at it, I have no idea which is Sophia or Lizzie. Only have a few pictures of my father and that is pretty much all I had on the family. So this information and pictures had been a godsend to me. Thank you very much and I will let you know if I find more and if I come across the name of the other cemetery. If I do, you can tell me what part of the area it is located there in Illinois, and perhaps I can contact the care takers there and get some info from them.
