Well that's where a lot of our family came from too. Bout the only thing I could do for you is try to catch someone at the museum that might have some knowledge of just where to look. There's one lady there that knows quite a bit about Mercer County History though all she does now is sometimes answer the phone from the museum from her own home when they're closed. I can't remember her name, but I know she was able to tell me a lot about some of our family when I just called to see what their hours were. I'll see if I can call that number and reach her again. But getting on that one machine when I live some distance away myself isn't that easy. I've only gotten lucky one time thus far this year. :( Too many of us diggin' for our roots out there. :) Right now I've been going through old Probate files so the next time I'm out there I'll check to see if they have any families with that surname on file and let you know. Even that has become more difficult right now as all their !
clerks are busy with preparations for the election coming up. I can't even access some files or get in to some departments. First they were remodeling now the election. :( I'll do what I can and get back to you. But I probably won't get out there again til sometime next week.
