I am researching the WILKES/WILKS surname. Andrew Jackson WILKES m. Hannah
BARTLEY on Oct. 26, 1867 in Hillsboro, Montgomery Co., IL. Would anyone
have access to a 1870 census index or any other records that might let me
know if they or other relatives lived there? This is the only evidence I
have that they were ever in this county. Prior to this (1860) they were in
Greene Co., IN.
