Either the newspaper itself, if it is still existing, or many newspapers are
available from the Illinois State Historical Library on interlibrary loan
via your local library. There is a small payment for postage, but I have
found the service to be well worth it in finding out information on my early
Macoupin and Montgomery county ancestors.

Per the list I have (off the Internet), many (if not all) the copies of this
paper are available from the Library on film from 1868-1874. You might want
to contact them first to see if this issue is available before you make the
