Melissa, I have a Sarah Melvina Evans in my family tree. She married my
grandfather who lived in Nokomis all his life. His name was Ray Safford, he
also went by John Safford. They had been married less than a year when she
died on Oct. 18, 1905. She was about 22 years old at the time. They had a
daughter who I believe was raised by the Evans family in Nokomis. They were
all members of the Nokomis Presbyterian Church. Does this fit anywhere in
your family tree?
