Dear Don and other Davis researchers;
Walter R. Sander's helpful list of "Settlers in Montgomery Co., Ill
previous to 1840" has many Davis' listed. His list indicates birth place,
approx. birth date, and counties or states the family lived in prior to
Montgomery Co. He garnered this info from all the earliest Montg. Co.
records available to him, including Bible recs. An asterik indicates the
family was found in another county after being listed once in Montg. Co.
Christian Co. was separated from Mont. in 1839, hence some of these folks
did not actually relocate.

Ira, b. 1807 NY
Nancy, b. 1810 SC
William, b. 1810 SC
*Daniel, b. 1800-10
James, b. 1796 SC
John, b. 1787 VA; to TN

*George, b. 1780-90
*Israel, b. 1780-90
*Jacob, b. 1810-20
*Jonas, b. 1790-1800
