I have been confused on Eli Scherer? I can not find him in the census. But
I am told he practiced medicine here for a number of years. There is an Eli
Scherer buried at Cress Hill Cemetery, can't read the dates, it's a very old
stone. Besides the marriage for Eli Scherer and Martha Ann Grantham in 1848,
I found a marriage for an Eli Scherer and Luvena Cress in 1840. Is this the
same Eli???
