The State of Illinois had State Censuses also. Some of them are on Ancestry
BUT if you find a discrepancy, try to find another transcription or look at
the film. I recently was helping someone who found family members
translated as being Black which was not correct. Another transcription had
it right. Some of these films are very hard to read. The original was bad,
it's degraded through the years, and some of the films have made it even
worse. Good luck.
