Seeking information on the family of Sanders Carrow shown in the 1860 U.S. Census Morgan Co., IL, Jacksonville Pct., p. 234 or p. 556, 7/20/1860. According to the census, Sanders Carrow was a Kentucky-born farmer who could read and write and who had real property worth $4,000 and personal property worth $1400. His Illinois-born wife was Martha, age 31. Also in the family were: William B., 20, farmer; Samuel B., 18, farmer; James, 15; Clark, 13; John, 9; Lydia A., 4; Sarah E., 2; and Charles, six months old. All the children had been born in Illinois. Also with the family was 35-year-old Nancy Franklin, a servant, born in Illinois. William, Samuel, James, Clark and John had all been in school in 1860.
