I am somewhat intrigued by your query,,partially because you are a
Holliday( my third christian name and my mother's maiden surname)and partly
because I also have a Foster in the family married to a Holiday. Note the
one l: Miles Holiday and his family appear to be the only ones to spell it
that way: his father James and his brothers all spelled it ,as we do, with
the 2 ll's
Anyway two of Miles and Laura Ann (Foster) Holiday children who died in
childhood are buried in Gravel Springs Cemetery,Near Jacksonville,IL and in
one of only twoother graves in that graveyard(Section 10 in the Morgan
County Cemeteries) is the grave of James Foster Sr. died 12 December 1846 at
age 61. I would surmise that he must have been Laura Ann's father as she was
born in 1826 or 1827. Also in that grave are the infant son and daughter of
O & E Foster - probably Julia's brother being O Foster.
I don't know whether this makes any sense to you but thought I would try it
wth you to see if I hit any chords
Good luck in your research
Gerald Clark
