I may be able to connect you to another researcher who has a William Taylor
in her ancestry. Her William Taylor was born about 1788 and died in Morgan
County, Illinois. He was married to Mary Ann Ragan born about 1803 in
Kentucky, and died 1 Jan 1877 near Jacksonville, Morgan, Illinois.

They had a son, William W. Taylor born about 1825, probably in Kentucky.

They also had a son, Alexander Taylor, born 10 Mar 1826 in Lexington,
Kentucky, and died in Scott County, Illinois 15 Jul 1887. Alexander Taylor
married Mary Frances LNU, and had a son William Taylor, born about 1855.
