I have information that has been passed down through our family that Wilke Janssen was born in 1790 in Germany. That is all I have about him. I don't have a wife's name, but they had a child, Johan Remers Janssen, born in 1807 and died in 1894. Johan married Cornelia Marie Willms, born in 1814 and died in 1892. They had Wilhem Janssen, born in 1854 and died in 1916. He moved to North America and married Martha Calista Stites, born 1864 and died in 1939. They had John Ben Janssen who was my grandfather. I don't know if this helps because there seem to be many Wilke Janssens who were born in Germany around that time. -Angelwing
