Linda: Try posting your request again, only this time, list your ancestors' NAMES in the "subject" line. Often, folks are too busy to open a message with a generic subject line. I normally don't bother, simply because I'm at work and have only a few minutes at a time to look. I just skip over messages with a subject line like yours. Sorry, but there's only so much time in a day...! Good luck. Hope that works better for you!
