Hi..
Thanks for the response. All the info that I have on your Starrett Coy is
that he served with Co. I, 151st IL INF, he is listed on the Civil War
Memorial in Jacksonville , he was born 23 Oct 1838, he died 25 Mar 1922 and
is buried in Newman Cemetery in Meredosia along with his wife, Mary Lamb
and probably, his son, Ulysses Simpson.
I had a web page on Morgan Co.(and some Scott and Macoupin) Civil War
soldiers for some time. I discontinued it when I moved and changed ISP's. I
am looking to change ISP's again and hope to put it back up. I generally
look for anything that I think other descendents would be interested in,
such as a photo, anything of particular interest such as a diary, letters
while he was in service, was he woulnded, etc. I would especially
appreciate it if you could verify the information above, as I live in
Kalama, Washington and don't get back to Illlinois very often.
Thanks
Norm
