Hi Listers,

My gg grandmother was Angeline DeButts, b. 2 Apr 1813 in Hanyshire,
Virginia (later West Virginia). She married my gg grandfather, John Lord, on
13 May 1841 in Dixon. It was the second marriage for both. They lived
subsequently in Palmyra, and the family is well-known in Lee County.

On her marriage license Angeline gives her name as Ann E. Accaton.
Presumably the surname of her first husband was Accaton, although I can find
no record of anyone by that name.

Can anyone give me any information on the Accaton or DeButts families. I do
know that Angeline was in Ogle County before her marriage to John Lord, and
that there were other DeButtses there, too.
