Searching http://www.sos.state.il.us/GenealogyMWeb/idphdeathsrch.html I find what is probably their death records.

You can request the death certificates through the Ogle County Clerk using the form at http://64.227.228.47/Death_cert_request.pdf You can also order in the microfilm to your local Family History Center. See http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/titledetailsframe.asp?display=titledetails&titleno=471351&disp=Death+certificates+for+the+state+of+Illi++&first=undefined&last=undefined Both ways are reasonably quick.

Death records from that time period include spouse and parent's names, including mother's maiden name. Now, that information is only as good as the informant's knowledge. It also gives place of burial.
