On the border of Winnebago Co. and Ogle Co., at the intersection of Tower Road
and Oak Grove Road there was Grout Church and Cemetery where my g.g.g.uncle
John Swartz was buried beside his wife, Catharine, June 10, 1889.
The church and cemetery are no longer there. Does anyone know what happened
to the gravestones and if there is listing of the inscriptions on record somewhere.
Also what was the denomination of the church.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Larry
