Hello all

I am HOT on the trail of the elusive Ostfriesians.

The wedding liscense of FRERICH VAN HOVELE & GRETJE JACOB WIESENRANK
was signed by AG JANSSEN Minister of the Gospel 8-25-1863. Can anyone
tell me which church to look in?

The 1860 census shows Jacob WEINDRANK dwelling #2312 #2316 is Henry &
Fredrich HOVELEN they have no realestate but 150 dollars worth of
stuff. Family #2315 & 2317 is Henry & Lowdry JOHNSON they have no
property either. However; #2314 THOMAS VONPATTEN (?spelling) has 5700
dollars worth of realestate!

Are these anybody's relatives?:??

My theory: The "Johnsons" of Hannover are really JANSSENS and settled
with the VanHovelns and were farm hands for MR Vonpatten

Will I be able to find out anything from land records if I come search??
Jacob Weinrank had $800 worth.

I have the final certificate of naturalization for Jacob Weinrank....are
the origional petitions in the Peoria Courthouse??

Last question:: (really! :-) ) Where can I find out information about
"English schools" in Peoria?

Annette
